Relax at Belvedere House - Contemporary B&B/Bed and Breakfast Accommodation situated in the Forest of Dean overlooking the River Wye at Lower Lydbrook

Belvedere House Belvedere House sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Forest of Dean overlooking the Wye Valley in the village of Lydbrook. It is well situated to enjoy of a host of local activities: cycle routes and walking trails from the house, canoe hire and other outdoor pursuits less than a 5 minute drive away.

The market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth are within easy reach. The cathedral city of Hereford is 20 miles away, as is Gloucester with Cheltenham just beyond. The Forest of Dean also offers endless opportunities for days out. Farther afield, but still in reach for day trips, are the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. The famous readers’ haven of Hay-on-Wye is also just 45 minutes away, making us an ideal base for a trip to the annual book festival.

Sunset Over Lydbrook Symonds Yat rock is just a 10 minute drive - you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the nesting Peregrines; RSPB members are regularly on hand to set up their spotting scopes and to talk to visitors.

Belvedere House has its own small woodland; by day you may see a woodpecker or visiting pheasants and at dusk you could be fortunate enough to spot the tawny owls and bats that frequent the garden.

Please see the access statement regarding use of the grounds.
